CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 3.5 based on 39 reviews)
| Purchased for a friend, but good service. by Adelle J. Turpen 5 Stars September 24, 2009 I purchased this for a friend so I don't know too much about the book. It is a workbook and appears to be good. The Seller shipped promptly and the book was in good condition.
| | Didn't work for me by Lora King (Huntsville, AL) 2 Stars September 21, 2009 There were some insightful points about how I think negatively thus perpetuating my negative view of myself... but I just couldn't get into the exercises. Very specific, action-oriented exercises, but inner visualization works better for me. I think this book could work for some people; it just didn't for me.
| | RS Austin by R.S. (Austin, TX) 4 Stars March 29, 2009 Get ready to work. This is not easy. It challenges the way you think. In my case, too much negative self talk--a habit of many years--must change for my own happiness and well-being. I see it as Biblically-based, too: "Be transformed by the renewing of your mind." I am trusting Dr. Burns promise that his techniques have worked for thousands of people. Doing everything he requires in the book is a pain. I resist it. Probably the reason I need it. I am sticking with it for the promise of better self talk and the resulting joy that it will bring.
| | very good by Kimberly Colquhoun 5 Stars February 28, 2009 I received the product in a timely manner and in good condition. I'm very satisfied with my purchase
| | I am sure it is good by Tweety Bird (spain) 3 Stars January 09, 2009 I am sure this is a good book but there is quite a lot of work to be done. So I believe it is for only the serious readers who also want to be interactive because there are a lot of exercises in this book. I haven't started the exercise but it looks very good.
