My boys (now age 5 & 9) ADORE David A. Carter's pop-up books in his "Bug" series and have for years!! We have a rather large collection of them. We haven't found one yet that they didn't enjoy. The artwork is engaging, the pop-up's are creative & the writing is silly & funny!
I probably wouldn't recommend the books for under the age of 3 to read/play with (unless the caregiver is handling the book) as some of the tabs & artwork can be torn if handles roughly. Once the kids have the hang of "touch nicely", these books are great for fun for all!!
Highly recommend!!

David Carter truly has the best pop up books I've seen. I also have Bed Bugs....in which the little books inside the big book are wonderful. I gave my first pop up book to my grandson when he was 2 years old. He did rip a few of the paper pieces out. ( I bought all the "spots" books.) Now however, at 3 years old, he is very careful with the books. He also makes up his own stories to go with the personalities in the book. I highly recommend this book and the others by David Carter.

This book is really cute, in a weird and silly way. My son got it when he was five, and it was his favorite book for a long time. The space bug pictures and goofy plot were funny enough that I didn't mind reading it to him over and over and over and over and .....
