| John Fowler: Prince of Decorators by Anonymous 3 Stars July 21, 2009 This book is informative, but many pictures are in black and white and fail to show detail. Fowler's forte was decorating on the cheap; a disciple of reclaim, repurpose, reuse. Good ideas for today.
| | historical by Carlos Raffo (Lima, Peru) 3 Stars January 14, 2009 I found this book to be interesting from a historical point of view, more than as an "interior design" book.
| | Book on John Fowler by Robert H. Burrell 5 Stars July 24, 2008 I bought this book as a companion to the one I have on Colefax and Fowler. Have always admired the work of the firm. Enjoyed reading more about John Fowler and the projects he worked on.
| | Poor picture quality by Javier Barrios 3 Stars July 19, 2008 Book's pictures are of poor quality and worse still, small in frame. Not worth the asking price.
| | A Colorful and Warm Cover...but... by colorful-one (New York, NY) 3 Stars December 17, 2007 I was dissapointed with the lack of quality "full page color photos" inside this book. One can not get a sense of the cozy details in Fowler's designs, in the pics represented within. I found the book mostly a biographical story rather than an inspirational journey through Fowler's career. Don't be fooled by the intimacy presented on the cover...once inside you might be surprised by the lack of warmth.
