CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 2 reviews)
| Board Study Book by Patioman (West Roxbury, MA United States) 4 Stars November 03, 2008 I purchased this book to help prepare for the Pedi GI Boards. It served as an excellent resource for reviewing details of pediatric GI diseases. This edition has been expanded from the previous, and is much more complete. It is more manageable for studying than the "Walker" textbook.
The book was listed as "new" but arrived from Amazon.com with a dent in the side of the book which damaged many of the pages. I did not have time to return, so used as is. I would have given it 5 stars had it not been for the damage.
| | Highly recommend this book! by Gut4bid (Mission Viejo, Ca) 5 Stars July 08, 2008 The current edition is light years better than the previous editions in terms of selection of topics, detail of the explanations, and more up to date information. This book is not as comprehensive as the 2 volume set from the folks in Boston, but that is actually a plus because that makes it much easier to read and process the information. This book is useful for anyone studying for the boards, as the book follows well the ABP contents and provides enough information to get you thru.
The on-line question bank however, leaves much to desire because the later chapters contain many errors. Also there is no CD for the book, unlike the Walker 2 volume set that lets you print off a computer.
In all, it's by far one of the best medical textbook I own. It is also one that I have actually read cover to cover more than once and was able to retain the information.
