CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.0 based on 13 reviews)
| Disappointing by rockergirl (Philadelphia, PA USA) 2 Stars June 04, 2009 Not the thorough kind of medical advice you met expect, rather, this book is full of quotes and anecdotes from other women. That may be helpful to some people, emotionally, but it doesn't answer vital questions you may have. Also, the sections on sexuality are pretty limited. Photos are cheesy and look dated.
Keep searching for a better, more fact-laden text. I haven't found one yet!
| | Just in time by J. R. R. (Ca. USA) 5 Stars October 04, 2008 More detailed and interesting than any doctor I've spoken with. I also love any alternative to drugs. As soon as I finish, each of my sisters will enjoy and learn as well.
| | Our Bodies, Our Selves by Blue Jeeper 3 Stars November 16, 2007 The book is ok. At the same time I bought this book I also purchased one by Cr. Christiana Northrup on menopause called "The Wisdom of Menopause: Creating Physical and Emotional Health and Healing During the Change", which I much prefer. The second volume encourages trying a holistic approach to menopause before resorting to hormone replacement therapy. Our Bodies, Our Selves barely mentions that approach as a suitable means of treating symptoms.
| | The absolute best book on the market! by Donna Toman (Waban, MA USA) 5 Stars May 22, 2007 This is a spectacular book. There is so much biased junk out there. This book provides the scientific basis for what is happening to our bodies and then provides the pros and cons of all of the different therapies, combined with real life stories of people who are going through it or have gone through it. Finally a true and reliable source that is documented, unbiased and easy to read and follow.
If there is one book to buy about what is happening to you, this is the one! Thank you!!!
| | Finally a book y women for women by R. Graves (Simi Valley. CA USA) 5 Stars May 07, 2007 when I was in college "Our Bodies Ourselves" answered lots of quesitons for me and my friends. Now I find myself buying this book for my friends as they enter menopause (some surgicaly) and it is once again a valuable tool.
