EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Written for a readership with a basic understanding of molecular and cell biology, and intended for graduate students and researchers, this text provides an overview of signal transduction. Common themes and structures are emphasized, and there are extensive cross-references between chapters. In a series of 23 short chapters, researchers provide reviews of topics ranging from cell-membrane receptors to gene regulation. The major classes of cell-surface receptors are described, and knowledge of the molecules and pathways important for cytoplasmic signal transduction are summarized. Responses within the nucleus are also reviewed. |
