CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 9 reviews)
| Breastfeeding & Human Lactation by Linda A Barrett 5 Stars February 07, 2010 Excellent resource for the lactation professional. My only disappointment at this point was not enough credit given to K. Jean Cotterman for her work and article on Reverse Pressure Softening. She is the pioneer in this process. Her method and description were not emphasized nor were the drawings from her information sheet.
The order was received in a very timely order in excellent condition.
| | Must have Breastfeeding text book by Beth F. Ricciuti (Pittsburgh, PA USA) 4 Stars January 17, 2010 I bought this book as a requirement for an online graduate course I'm taking this sememster. Amazon sold the book much cheaper than the college bookstore. It arrived in pristine condition earlier than expected. I LOVE this text book. Must have for future lactation consultants or medical folks that want more info on the exciting topic of human lactation.
| | Critical for the IBCLC exam by K. Tier (San Francisco Bay Area) 5 Stars October 25, 2009 I received my pre-ordered copy of the 4th edition a little over a month before I sat for the IBCLC exam for the first time in July 2009. I worked hard to read it cover to cover for the exam, generally reading one chapter per day. I loved it and I truly believe it was critical to my passing of the exam (84%). It includes about 150 additional pages over the 3rd edition. I also appreciated the fact that the evidence-based research was very recent, including information that came out in December 2008. Highly recommended!
| | Terrific! by S. Meyer 5 Stars July 22, 2009 This book has it all, and you *know* you want it! I have been totally happy with it so far!!
| | Incredibly informative and up-to date information for ALL Lactation Professionals! by E. Moore (NC) 5 Stars March 14, 2009 This comprehensive manual/textbook for Lactation Professionals is very thorough and informative. It touches on just about everything you need to know about lactation, breastfeeding, pre-natal and peri-natal care and the mother-baby dyad. The full-color photos are a bonus!
Jan Riordan is a renowned Lactation Consultant and Professor at Wichita State University. She also has a background of a La Leche League Leader, so she has real-life experience to draw on as well as in-depth medical experience.
I recommend this book for any LC or LC to be.
