| | Ball Complete Book of Home Preserving by Miriam Midkiff 5 Stars November 27, 2009 Bought this as a gift. Arrived on time and was greatly appreciated by its recipient.
| | Canning Queen by Laurie Smith (Lyons, OR) 5 Stars November 16, 2009 I purchased this book for my 25 year old daughter, who is now carrying on the tradition of her youth of helping me preserve the bounty of summer. She LOVES the book and says it has a far more varied and unique selection of recipes than ALL of my old canning books combined. The instructions are complete, easy to understand, and ingredients readily available. The selection of recipes really impressed her. Coming from a person in the culinary arts field, that is a compliment! Our family now calls her the "Canning Queen"!
| | Easy and excellant by Larry Gessner (Dolores, Colorado) 5 Stars November 13, 2009 I had purchased my copy of this book a few years ago but really did not use it until this summer when produce was so plentiful. I found it to be a very easy process when following the simple instructions in the book. In fact, I was having so much fun with it that I shared it's existence with my sister who then wanted me to copy some of the recipes for her. Instead, I ordered a copy for here as well. She will receive it as a Christmas gift......in the meantime I am stalling on giving her the recipes requested!!...;)
| | Very Informational and helpful in every way by Patricia Brouillette (Fort Drum, NY United States) 5 Stars November 10, 2009 This book is full of recipes, as well as helpful tips. There is also a part which will helps with conversions such as how many pounds equals about how many cups, just so you know how much to get when the recipe calls for 3 or 4 cups chopped and you are trying to figure out how many Tomatoes that is.
Also, you name it, you can probably find a recipe for it. It has a bit of everything, between fruits, veg., and pressure canning meats.
