EDITORIAL REVIEWS

Product Description
This popular core nursing pharmacology textbook provides unique coverage of nursing interventions for drug therapy with related rationales. Highly praised for its organized and readable presentation, the text explains the "why" behind each nursing action and emphasizes how drugs work differently in different patients. New to the Eighth Edition are case studies integrated into each chapter with case-based questions that foster critical thinking. New Research Briefs summarize current research and its nursing implications. A new chapter covers drugs for obesity, and all nutrition products have been consolidated into one chapter. New NCLEX(R)-style questions appear at the end of each drug chapter.

Drug Therapy by Ruth A. Patchell 5 Stars

What I needed for school, shipped fast, great condition. Would recommend to buy from seller, much cheaper than school bookstore.

Not a very good book by Douglas Long (San Rafael, CA USA) 2 Stars

All pharm textbooks fall into the trap of being neither textbook nor reference book. They want to just explain pharmacodynamics and end up like a drug guide. This book gets bogged down more than others. It does not offer much in terms of the textbook side, and it bogs down in the drug book side. Poor graphics. I ended up leaving this book on the shelf and got the Lehne book, which is good.

Great buy! by M. Carelle (Portland, OR) 5 Stars

I had to buy this book for my pharmacology class. I have been very satisfied with it. It has very detailed explanations, leaving few questions unanswered. The format is great.
