| Good bok by Jhony Doumit (USA) 5 Stars September 28, 2007 This book is essential for every GI Fellow as well as any IM or FP resident or student on GI/Liver rotations. It gives quick answers to GI and Liver issues in the clinic or at the bedside. I am currently a third year GI fellow and use this book daily. It is set up very nicely with standardized subtopics within each topic. The book is very thorough but breaks down issues simplistically. You will definitely gain quick knowledge for diagnosis and treatment that will make you look smart in front of any staff. The difference between this book and others, such as Secretes or Yamada, is that those books are big and heavy and you have to wade through a lot of stuff to find a quick answer to any question. I highly recommend this book.
| | First Rate GI Companion by M. R. Mowjood (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) 5 Stars September 20, 2007 This book is fantastic!! It should be a must for all medical students, as well as for residents in family practice, internal medicine and anyone doing a GI fellowship. It is written very clearly and concisely, with an emphasis on quick retention and learning. It covers all expected topics within the GI system, and is an invaluable resource for anyone in the medical field. I have not found a resource similar to PRIMO GASTRO that provides quick access to a plethora of topics. I am a practicing physician myself and I find myself referring to this text on a regular basis. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book for anyone wishing to increase their knowledge regarding the GI system--for general practice, board review or specialty practice. It is worth your investment!!
