EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description The definitive text by the foremost authorities on positron emission tomography (PET) has now been thoroughly revised to reflect the major alterations in PET technology and practice since the introduction of PET/CT scanners. Now titled Principles and Practice of PET and PET/CT, this Second Edition includes many PET/CT images and new chapters dealing with CT scanning and PET/CT image fusion. The major focus is on strategies to optimally integrate CT and PET to a "one-stop" diagnosis for cancer, heart disease, neurologic disorders, psychiatric disorders, infection, inflammation, and other conditions. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 1 review)
| Better than the First Edition--More Color, More content by nuclear fan (d.c.) 5 Stars December 09, 2008 This book is an excellent and state of the art review of the entire field of PET/CT Imaging. There are spectacular color fused images throughout the book rather than in an image appendix. All aspects of PET/CT are covered in a detailed but not exhaustive manner. New chapters including amyloid, infection and renal images are very timely. Anyone reading PET scans should have this book available as they read out. The chapter on image artifacts and pitfalls is superb. I only wish the book would have come out a couple of years ago, but it was worth the wait.
