CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.0 based on 25 reviews)
| Lack of Focus on Important Issues by Patrick A. Hagen (NY, NY) 2 Stars July 06, 2009 This book is ok for a quick once over of all topics relevant to Pediatrics. However, it lacks any detail on the most important and high yield topics. I found myself consistently looking up topics on [...] and using other resources thus making this book a poor choice as a primary resource for pediatrics.
| | Not as good as other blueprints books. by DRJJ (Sweden) 2 Stars April 24, 2009 I would recommend First Aid over this one. Blueprints lacks in important basic topics such as nutrition.
Today I saw a child in the ward with chronic glomerulonephritis and opened this book, it had 3 sentences on the topic. At the same time some extremely rare disorders are covered in much more detail.
| | Not as good as other Blueprints by DHO (NOLA, United States) 3 Stars February 17, 2009 Throughout med school I have been a big fan of the Blueprints series, however, this book lacks the high yield organization and writing that other Blueprints exemplify.
Many of the chapters are inundated with minutia, and trivia that is not warranted for the shelf or steps.
Overall it is a good read, but I would prefer a much higher yield text.
| | Blueprints by Deanna Ball 4 Stars October 08, 2008 The Blueprints book is good. It is pretty concise and readable. Probably doesn't contain all the info you need. The one I got unfortunately had a lot of writing and highlighting in it, but it was ok.
| | Blueprints Pediatrics by R. Strong 5 Stars October 01, 2008 This series is FANTASTIC for any medical, DO or PA student. They give you the nuts and bolts of most disorders seen in 2 pages. They are easy to understand and read. They are a wonderful asset for clinical rotations.
