CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.0 based on 7 reviews)
| Nutrition and Diagnosis Related Care - Excellent Reading by Kathryn Jo Shattler (owosso, MI) 5 Stars May 05, 2009 I reviewed this book and found it to be an up-to-date, clinically relevant nutritional resource that should be on every dietitian's and physician's bookshelf. It contains a plethora of information on several clinical conditions of a nutritional nature, definitions/background of the condition, interventions available both traditional and in complementary medicine, and information on pharmaceuticals/drug-nutrient interactions. Essentially, the information would help any nutritional clinician in putting together a comprehensive assessment and care plan for a variety of illnesses that require nutritional intervention.
| | very helpful resource by T. Scott (Idaho) 5 Stars July 03, 2008 I was required to buy this book as an intern, and never once used it. In my job now as a clinical dietitian, however, I find it to be an invaluable resource.
| | Excellent reference for clinical dietitians by WW, RD 4 Stars September 24, 2007 This book is invaluable. I have interns through my hospital pretty regularly and make them purchase this book to help w/their assessments. It is also a great reference for all RDs no matter what your skill level. There is always a disease process out there that you may not be familiar with.
| | Great Book! by Elicia McMullen (new york, ny) 5 Stars September 22, 2007 Just received this book, need it for a dietetic internship at a large hospital system on Long Island. Great for brief descriptions and nutrition interventions on disease. Was recommended to get this book by a lot of dietetic interns so i'm sure it will come in extremely useful.
| | Great book, if it didn't fall apart! by C. Scott (Somerset, NJ) 1 Stars April 05, 2006 I am very dissapointed with the poor spiral binding on this book, (4th edition)! As a dietetic student, I don't have much money to spend on books as it is. As much as this one is priced, the publishers could have put a higher quality binding on it, (or made it a paperback, like previous editions). Pages are falling out constantly, especially since it the type of book you refer to all the time.
