| | Easy to understand by A. Lese (Texas) 4 Stars August 14, 2009 I bought this book for a Molecular Diagnostics course for an MT/CLS progam. Although I've had some previous education in DNA, etc. . . I was new to most of the concepts in the book. I found it easy to read and very understandable. My only real complaint is that THERE'S NO GLOSSARY in this book. To me, that's a major oversight.
| | Not a beginners book!!! by MEDITECH30 (Marshill, ME) 2 Stars August 02, 2009 This is not for those of us who are new to the topic. Too much information, not enough explanation. If you are required to purchase it for a course get something else to supplement the first three chapters on DNA and RNA.
| | Interesting book by C. Bailey (Northern NY state, (almost to Canada!)USA) 4 Stars August 18, 2008 Pretty decent book, goes over most concepts of molecular diagnostics, PCR, FISH, RT-PCR, molecular beacons, FRET, etc. Fairly easy to understand. Could do a better job in some places. Used in a Molecular Diagnostics - Human Genetics course in CLS/MT Program.
