| My Travelin Eye Great Read for Children by NW Reader (Washington) 5 Stars May 16, 2009 My Travelin Eye is the story of a child who has an eye problem that causes her eye to turn in. The story takes you through the process of visting an eye doctor having the eye patched and getting a pair of glasses. It also deals with the reactions of the girl's classmates to the eye patch and new pair of glasses. This is a great book for teaching tolerance for those who may me a little bit different from ones self. A great book for school libraries or parents who have children with a smiliar eye problem.

Jenny Sue took time out of her busy schedule to send the message to our students...with hard work & determination, you can overcome your shortcomings & achieve your goals, WHATEVER they may be. Jenny Sue is as DELIGHTFUL as her work of art. Jenny Sue is a GREAT storyteller, as well as talented artist. My Travlin' Eye is a UNIQUE, WONDERFULLY illustrated book for all ages. | | My Travelin' Eye by katie wray (Elkhorn< Ne) 5 Stars September 06, 2008 Do you remember feeling different as a child? Maybe you wore funny glasses or had buck teeth. My Travelin Eye is a story about a little girl who has a wandering eye. She discovers that being different, although hard at times, is what makes her the true artist that she dreams of becoming. I love reading this story to my children. I hope they too celebrate their unique qualities and are true to themselves.
| | an aid in understanding by Nickole S. Carmichael 5 Stars September 04, 2008 This was a great tool for my classroom. I had some students in my classroom with a "traveling eye". It allowed my other students to relate to them and gain a better understanding of what they are going through. This book is cute and delightful.
| | Celebrating Individualism by J. Plowman (Bellevue, NE) 5 Stars September 04, 2008 This book is an excellent story about excepting and valuing everyone's individual differences. We are all unique and this story not only recognizes that but celebrates that idea.

| The Eye Patch Kids DVD For Amblyopia/Strabismus Starring: The Bjorts, Princess, Peter, Patty Directed By: Kelly Harmsen
The Eye Patch Kids DVD is designed to help children understand why they have to wear an eye patch while being entertained by the patched puppets singing and dancing. It's very entertaining for children and stops the struggle between parent and child by allowing the parent to just put on the DVD and let the child put on the patch with the puppets. It really works.
