EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description With more than two million copies sold, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? has opened up a world of learning to a generation of children. For this edition, created for the twenty-fifth anniversay in 1992, Bill Martin, Jr., restored his text to its original wording. And Eric Carle created all new pictures--based on the originals, but clearer, brighter, and truer to the colors they represent. | Amazon.com Review The gentle rhyming and gorgeous, tissue-paper collage illustrations in this classic picture book make it a dog-eared favorite on many children's bookshelves. On each page, we meet a new animal who nudges us onward to discover which creature will show up next: "Blue Horse, Blue Horse, What do you see? I see a green frog looking at me." This pattern is repeated over and over, until the pre-reader can chime in with the reader, easily predicting the next rhyme. One thing readers might not predict, however, is just what kinds of funny characters will make an appearance at the denouement! Children on the verge of reading learn best with plenty of identifiable images and rhythmic repetition. Eric Carle's good-humored style and colorful, bold illustrations (like those in The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Grouchy Ladybug, and Have You Seen My Cat?) have earned him a prominent place in the children's book hall of fame. | Great book! by Mommyof smarties (NH, USA) 5 Stars February 08, 2010 Love this story. My son already had Panda Bear Panda Bear, and loved that.. We bought this one, he loves it equally as much. He is 2 and loves the animals at the end of the story, and loves that fact that he can "read" it to us after he learns the animals. Great book, we are going to be buying the others by the this author.

| | A bit longer to read for an infant.. by Realin 3 Stars January 02, 2010 This book was a gift given to my daughter for Christmas. Although I love the fact that it teaches her colors and animals, I found it too long for her to "read". We get halfway through the book and then she looks away and not listen anymore. So I thought I'd only give this 3 stars. I maybe wrong because she is after all only 5 and a half months old. We'll see how she'll do with this book when she's a bit older.
| | My 4 mo old loves this book! by WKT 5 Stars December 30, 2009 I bought this book for her when she was 2 months and she grew to love books. I read it to her in English, and my husband translates it into Cantonese. The verses are very rhythmical in both languages, and the pictures are simple and colorful.
| | My daughter's favorite book by Yaumara Mijares (Ocala, Florida) 5 Stars November 16, 2009 My daughter is 2 and she loves this book, it is her favorite. She already knows the name of all the animals in the book. I think is a very educational book and will be buying the others too.
