On Green Economics by Kenneth Scheffler (Canada) 5 Stars
June 29, 2003
Another great book in the The New Catalyst Bioregional Series, this slim volume is packed with insightful articles dealing with Green Economics. Basically the book begins with an analysis of how corporate America has embraced and manipulated the Green Movement to it's own benefit, marketing supposedly Green products, Greenwashing those products that can never be Green. The focus then shifts to alternative economic approaches, such as CSA, Land Trusts, Cooperatives, Green Taxes and the like. For such a thin book, it certainly gives one much to think about.
