CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 40 reviews)
| It works! by Free Thinker (Australia) 5 Stars September 28, 2009 I was recently diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. I was in severe pain - my 70-year-old mother was more able-bodied than me and ,at times, my children had to help me to stand up and even walk. Within a period of a few months, I had gone from actively helping to build our house with my husband - mixing mortar, brick laying, lugging heavy timber etc. to being barely able to lift the kettle. My GP injected cortisone into my knees which helped me to walk better and prescribed an NSAI which also helped. And the tiredness... you'll know what I mean. I was worried about the recent publicity linking certain NSAIs to heart problems but I couldn't do without it at that stage. I stuck to one a day although my GP recommended two. I also took strong pain killers every six hours. The specialist I was eventually referred to said: "Until recently all we did with these patients (people like you) was record their steady decline." He prescribed a different NSAI which gave me an allergic reaction and at that point I decided to do my own research. I came across this book and read the reviews, all of which seemed totally sincere. I homed in on one word in one review: strep. It had been at the back of my mind for a while. This all started with a bad flu, after which both knees had filled up with fluid. Slowly the rest of my body became affected. If it is a strep infection (and I believe Dr Brown is correct in this) then the usual first course of action - steroids- compromises the immune system and causes the strep to get in deeper. Then after that, there are the immune suppressants and anti-TNF drugs... No wonder we end up with a chronic disease! Anti-TNF drugs are a lucrative business and that business depends on disease maintenance. Whatever happened to practising medicine and trying to cure people? Dr Brown's work and this book have changed my life. I took it to my GP and asked him to prescribe minocycline. He did so willingly. After a few days of the therapy, I was in terrible pain - I got a lot worse, just as the book says, but I could feel the fight going on. From then on, I got a little better each day. After only one month of therapy, I can walk well and I no longer take NSAIs or painkillers. I have improved so much that I envisage one day not too far away, I will no longer even need the antibiotics. An incurable disease? I think not!
| | The New Arthritis Breakthrough: The Only Medical Therapy Clinically Proven to Produce Long-term Improvement and Remission of RA, by E. A. Navarro (SC) 5 Stars September 26, 2009 This was an excellent book, medically convincing and in plain English for the average person to understand. To bad the medical community is so far behind the curve on this plainly available knowledge.
| | Changed my life for the better by yesicansd (San Diego, CA USA) 5 Stars August 23, 2009 I read this book and began the treatment a little over one year ago. To say this protocol is a lifesaver would be an understatement. I suffered with arthritis for 16 years before starting antibiotic therapy, and within a few months the improvement I got was incredible. The book is a bit hard to get through in the sense that the writing is...shall we say... not really stellar. I wish it had been edited better. But that said, I still highly recommend it for its content, and it's totally worth the effort.
| | A Life Saver by gloriahsmom 5 Stars July 03, 2009 I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for 12 years. I tried the traditional medical route. I tried a multitude of alternative methods. None of it really worked. I still had the disease. In the last year my health has deteriorated to the point that I was forced to go to the doctors for some relief. While reading a review for methotrexate, I stumbled across a recommendation for this book. I got the book and was amazed by the documentation and research. Believing it to be true, I found a doctor through [...] and [...]. The antibiotics are WORKING!! I have seen dramatic results including being able to walk better, the swelling in my joints is receding, my elbow is straighter, the body aches are gone, I have much more energy, and to top it off I am no longer anemic. I have been anemic most of my life. All this in one month. It can take a long time sometimes. But if you have any of the diseases in this book, I urge you to get on the protocol and take your life back. I am taking my life back and loving every minute of it.
There is a lot of information on the websites-[...] and [...]. You can learn about the antibiotic protocol (AP) from them. I do highly recommend you get this book as it is the backbone of the antibiotic protocol information. Thousands of people have been helped by this. Do your research, then give it a try. You won't be sorry.
| | Amazing book! by STLYYZ 5 Stars April 27, 2009 I was dx with RA about 18 months ago and this was one of the first books I read. My Dr. prescribed mino to me and i've been doing GREAT. A few ups and downs but I'm back to almost normal after having felt like crap for a LONG time.
Minocycline is now an approved DMARD (Disease Modifying Anti-Rheumatic Drug) by the American College of Rheumatology!!
Yay!!
