astonishingly helpful and fascinating by toddler mom 5 Stars

This book was recommended to me by my therapist as one of the most influential books she had read. It is a dense but clearly written, object relations perspective on attachment, attunement, and the development of consciousness and language. It is also one of the most helpful books I have read in terms of my own management of feelings brought on by fear of separation and my work with my own clients. A must read for clinicians.
