A wonderful source for family prayer, which is easy to read, with many different holy days and occasions covered ! Our family just loves it ! We have 7 chidlren aged 21 years down to 16 months, and as each child was old enough to read they would beg to read from this book at dinner time. It covers regular days of the week graces, holy days, special saints days, special occasions such as birthdays or the first days of spring/ winter/ etc. Also Advent and Lent prayers for each day of the season. All geared to the family meal setting !

This is a wonderful little book. We have used it for years. It contains occasions to pray that we had never thought of before. We especially like the prayer for birthdays that asks everyone around the table to say something special about the birthday person.

This book has some very good grace prayers for mealtimes but many are not generalized for all occasion, every day. Instead they are specified for certain celebrations and occasions. It does give one the basics of saying grace and furnishes appropriate words.

Great book for the family by P. Ryan (MI United States) 5 Stars

We received this book from some friends of ours. We keep it on the kitchen table and our kids take turns reading a prayer before dinner. It is a great alternative to saying the same prayer every night. This book has a great variety of prayers, for Holy days, feast days, as well as the traditional prayers. My daughter even found a prayer in there for Super Bowl Sunday! This is a great resource for family prayer.

We have always said grace before our meals, but recently, when friends were over, we used the book. they say grace only on special holidays, but after hearing the prayer that evening, her son and daughter both asked for this book and want to use it every night. I'm purchasing several to give to newlyweds, new parents. One usually takes a gift, why not this book?
