CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 3.0 based on 5 reviews)
| Interesting Reading by W. Stern (Berlin NJ, USA) 2 Stars September 04, 2009 To be honest I have not finished the pamphlet yet. I agree with some of the other reviews that it is very technical reading. But it gives the information on how what you put into your body effects your body which I found interesting.
The back of the book is supposed to be about diet which I look forward to reading.
I have read in other reading material that foods that restrict blood flow worsen the tinnitus they are salt, sugar, caffeine, chocolate, wine, and foods with MSG. So I look forward to reading the info in this pamphlet.
| | A waste of time for the tinnitus sufferer 1 Stars April 06, 2000 This book is a confusing mess of anectdotal remedies for tinnitus. If you can decipher what this guy is saying and come up with a treatment plan, more power to you. It's worth a look only because of its low price, otherwise the serious tinnitus sufferer should just pass this one by.
| | Lots of technical info, no guidelines by Elizabeth R. Walter (Wheatfield, NY USA) 1 Stars January 16, 2000 I bought this book thinking that it would give me some dietary guidelines to follow that would help me. What I got was a very small booklet containing gobs of scientific explanations that, quite frankly, had me lost. Though reading about how hearing occurs was interesting, Dr. Yanick got to the end of the book without giving any dietary guideline except a very brief list of "what not to eat with what" and no explanation to go with it. He is also selling an "enzyme" complex, "which can be purchased at local health food stores." To me, this booklet raised more questions than supplied me with answers.
| | Finally, a suggestion that makes sense. by John Horak (USA) 5 Stars December 29, 1999 Dr. Yanick suffered hering loss himself and was tenacious enough (and smart enough) to find out why after being told that there was nothing that could be done.I am so happy I stumbled accross this booklet because it reinforces my belief that nutritional abuse is responsible for many diseases. Sadly, I was mislead all these years in thinking that my problem was a pinched nerve in my neck and that there was no cure. Now, I can refocus my attention on the diet. I am very excited!
| | Real hope for Tinnitus and Meniere's Sufferers by Nora M. Lenz (Seattle, Washington) 5 Stars December 27, 1999 When my mother was diagnosed with Meniere's five years ago, I began searching for information that would corroborate my belief that this disease has its cause in nutritional deficiencies and imbalances. I have been appalled at the lack of acknowledgement that this disease -- like all diseases -- has a CAUSE! In its typical fashion, the medical industry approaches this disease in the context of a highly ineffective intervention paradigm and utterly ignores the incredible potential that lies in finding, and REMOVING the cause of the disease. The blind recommendations doctors typically make about lowering sodium intake and avoiding alcohol and tobacco have done nothing to help my mother. This book, however, offers real hope to those afflicted with these insidious and life-destroying diseases (Meniere's and Tinnitus). I urge anyone who is living with one of these diseases, or cares about someone who is, to read this book and incorporate the recommendations into your lifestyle (or that of your loved one)! Thank you, Dr. Yanick, for writing this wonderful book.
