Awesome way to learn to deal with stress! by Carol Ann (Illinois) 5 Stars
December 12, 2007
Reading this book and learning how to deal with stress for the first time in my 60 years has a made a new person of me. I bought 4 books on stress when I realized that my years of on and off depression were all connected to stress related situations. THIS BOOK HAS changed my life. Friends, family, co-workers, Doctors and therapists cannot believe I am the same person. If you are committed to learning to deal with stress and healing your spirit, mind and body all in a few EASY steps, then this book is a must for you. A totally easy read; while filling you with a hope that is completely fullfilled when you follow this wonderful Lady's well laid out plans. I have purchased three copies since then for friends who wanted to know "What book turned your life around like this?". Thank you Lori A. Leyden-Rubenstein for sharing your experiences and knowledge with us. Years of therapy and expensive medications only put a dent in my bank account. You put a smile on my face, a song in my heart and led me to healthier mind and body for under $15.00. ~God Bless~ Carol Ann

Great book with powerful and practical solutions to stress by M. Bethel 5 Stars
February 08, 2007
This book begins with a brief account of the authors own experiences with many stressful situations and how she overcame them; which gave rise to the book. You may be thinking I am already under stress, why would I want to hear about anyone elses? I think this is an important part of understanding why her techniques are so believable and useful however. Reading the book is the first step, the next is actually putting the techniques into practice by incorporating them into your life. Luckily they are simple, even though they are powerfully effective. Although this book is several years old now, I would definately say that the wisdom contained within is still very timely and appropriate.

This is an incredible text. I used it to prepare for a seminar on the topic. After reading 10 similar books, I rate this one the best.

This book will change one's life. by dtcrist@ids.net (Wickford, RI) 5 Stars

Wow! This book is simply a must-read. It is chock-full of excellent tactics, ideas, and strategies for changing one's life by learning to cope with the complexities of daily living. Leyden-Rubenstein lays out an extensive body of scientific knowledge about stress and its effects on health in a clear, direct and highly readable way, but this book offers much, much more. She intertwines this scientifically-based information to support a spiritual approach to living, focusing on self-knowledge, understanding ,and compassion. Her thesis for living is quite remarkable, and the questions raised and tactics posed are quite palatable even for recovering Catholics, like me. I recommend purchasing the meditation tape that is offered with the book to get a good start on the path to better, more peaceful living.
