EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description A brief, clear overview of the basic science and clinical aspects of immunology. For medical students and other health professionals. The basic science section is a clear presentation of innate and adaptive immunity, immune cells, antibodies and antigens, and other components of the immune system and their interactions. The clinical section clarifies hypersensitivity, autoimmunity, immunodeficiency, common diagnostic tests, vaccination, transplantation, and tumor immunology, all in 85 pages. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 3.0 based on 1 review)
| immunology by Tarek Musslimani (israel) 3 Stars August 05, 2009 This is a concise book for beginners in immunology. It has many information which are not necessary to memorize such as cell structure and mode of function.
It lacks the clinical section and correlation with disease. It is very short to be a comprehensive introduction in the area of immunology.
I recommend to the author for future version to delete unnecessry information such as cell structure and mode of action and to concentrate on the clinical information which is the ultimate interest of the medical student. Clinical data should be corroborated with disease. This is not discussed at all.
The book has around 90 pages which is under no circumstances sufficient to give enough details about the subject.
In addition the font should be more bold and increased to font 14.
