Product Description
The standard has been raised. Completely revised and updated, significantly expanded, and better than ever, the new edition of this popular book explains and illustrates what you need to know to pass the Vascular Technology exam topic by topic, in one volume, by leading technologists who themselves have taken, passed, and helped others prepare for and pass their RVT exams. Based on the registry s exam outline, it includes new illustrations, duplex and color flow images, Doppler waveforms, photo-documented physiologic exam techniques, angiograms, new self-assessment exercises, glossaries, and integral CME application. Particularly useful in combination with Vascular Technology Review, Vascular Physics Review, and ScoreCards for Vascular Technology.

book not well made by M. connett (MN) 3 Stars
June 24, 2009
I think the material in the book is to the point, easy to read and understand. The only drawback is the way it's made. I had two books sent to me and both didn't have any glue down the spine. Eventually the pages would have fallen out.

Vascular Tech by J. Maben (California) 4 Stars

This book is pretty comprehensive, and I recommend it to those preparing to take their license exams.

II have wanted this book for years by Michelle N. Brown (troy, michigan United States) 5 Stars

I am so thankful that I was finally able to get this book. I have attended seminars by one of the authors and spent some time at Henry Ford Hospital with her ( in a teaching situation). I respect her and her work. I have always wanted her book and am happy to finally have it. I have not hard time to read through the book but knowing how organized her seminars were, I know it will be organized and to the point. I needed a reference book as I am RVT and this will fit the bill for me.

excellent review for the RVT test by Akachi Phillips 4 Stars

This is the only text you need for the RVT exam, it covers all the pertinent areas, the only drawback is that the book falls apart easily.

Excellent contents, poor package by K. M. Davis (Maryland USA) 4 Stars
November 11, 2005
This paperback, which is only available in paperback, is outstanding for both passing the registry exam and grasping virtually all you need to know as a vascular sonographer. It is easy to read, simple but not simplistic, good continuity, accurate, and a great deal of it's contents seem to be on the registry exam very much like it appears in the book. It should be kept in mind that it is inherently not a reference book (it is not intended to be) so if you are seeking detailed comprehensive explanations, you probably won't find it here. For that you will need a supplemental text (I prefer Zwiebel & Pellerito, Fifth Ed. for that purpose). The one big negative about "Vascular Technology" is that it has just about the WORST binding ever. Pages literally fall out!
