I needed this book for a college course, so it was required as opposed to a voluntary purchase. But I am so glad to have it in my possession; it has wonderful information and advice for beginning teachers!

This book was given to me by my principal. It totally changed (and improved) my classroom management. Where I was struggling to get student attention and focus them and "threatening" them, now I have a plan...As a music teacher, I've been through some classes from august to mid-year (as I write this review) and not had to discipline ONCE!!!

If you don't have this one, get it. Read parts of it every year before school starts. Give it as a gift to student teachers and have an extra on hand for struggling teachers. It contains everything that you need to manage a classroom and handle difficult situations. I don't have to say anything else about it. Forget the seminars and workshops--just read it and apply it!
