CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 15 reviews)
| good book by jimmie b. (clawson, mi) 4 Stars June 22, 2009 this book was very helpful to me - it could of been cut in 1/2 because of all the unneeded material.
but it works for me now in my backyard in the city and it will be extra helpful when I am growing about an acre of garlic in 2 1/2 years
for someone wanting to grow only a a dozen or less bulbs, this book is probably not for you.
| | Great Results by Apps (Hillsboro, Ohio) 4 Stars June 12, 2009 I originally purchased this book to grow garlic for my own use and had such excellent results that I am now growing and selling several different types of garlic. At first the book seems to be redundant, but in practice it makes sense, since you can refer to the section that applies to stage of the growing cycle you are in at the time.
My only complaint is that sometimes the information is not completly clear and you may have more questions than answers. If you would like to see color photographs of almost all the planting stock available, with descriptions and characteristics, I would highly recommend "the Complete Book Of Garlic" by Ted Jordan Meredith.
| | Growing Great Garlic by Fiore Vitola (NJ) 5 Stars January 11, 2009 Great book for beginner as well as advanced gardener very informative, I would recommend this book to all gardeners that are interested in learning the proper way to grow garlic.
| | All about garlic. by Anissa R. Helge Helge (Dallas) 5 Stars December 22, 2008 This book is very well written with attention to detail. It is a must have for the serious gardener.
| | Yikes.... by Warren E. Witzell Jr. 1 Stars July 27, 2008 Type in growing galic in your search engine and 9 out of 10 will tell you it is a snap.
This author has at least 40 reasons why your crop will fail.
I don't recommend this book... too negative and too disorganized.
