CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 3 reviews)
| A Must Read by MLK, Postmaster (Placerville, CA, USA) 5 Stars June 18, 2003 The Diabetic Eye is a must read for all who have family or friends who are diabetic. I have both and had not fully realized the importance of good managed eye care in addition to a good general health care plan. At first glance I thought this is going to be beyond me but Dr. Chous has provided information which is clear and easily understood by a non-professional. I have found no other books on this subject that were so readable.
| | This is a book we've needed for a long time! by G. Hom 5 Stars June 09, 2003 As a public health and eye care professional, I am glad to see a book like Dr. Chous'. There is an exceptional clarity to how he explains the broad scope of eye problems which can occur with diabetes as well as some very helpful and novel ideas for patients to take control of their diabetic situation and become an equal partner with their doctor in determining their own health outcome.I highly recommend this book to any patient with diabetes, any caregiver, as well as to all professionals involved in caring for patients with diabetes. You won't find any other book which packs so much information and delivers it in a way that doctors and laypersons alike can grasp the gravity of the potentially blinding effects of diabetes on the eyes.
| | Fantastic advice for the diabetic patient by Robert M. Theaker (Monterey, CA USA) 5 Stars June 04, 2003 It is a rare medical book indeed that is able to cater to both the doctor and patient. Dr. Chous ably accomplishes this demanding task with this book. Diabetic patients and their families will be able to better deal with the health dangers of the disease, especially the ocular side effects, after reading the clear, concise chapters. And medical professionals will want to have a copy on hand for the best summary of diabetic eye conditions that I have ever seen. Kudos to Dr. Chous for an intelligent, lively writing style, and for authoring this most excellent reference.
