EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Specifically aimed at individuals on a sodium-restricted diet, this nutritional counter addresses which supermarket products and fast food items have the lowest sodium contents and simplifies the selection process by limiting its listings to products with low-sodium values. In addition to identifying sodium content, all foods contained in the guide are analyzed by calories, carbohydrates, cholesterol, fat, saturated fat, trans fats, fiber, and sugar levels. Assistance in interpreting dining-out food labeling guidelines, advice on how to read nutritive value abbreviations and symbols, and information on food measurements and equivalents are included along with brief descriptions of each nutrient and its effect on blood pressure. |

| | A great list of low sodium foods by Umit D. Demir 5 Stars October 09, 2008 Bobbie did a great job of putting together this guide. I have been on a low sodium diet for several years. I became quite knowledgable on low sodium products, in fact I operate a website called eatlowsodium.com listing various low sodium foods (all under 200mg of sodium per serving). Bobbie's guide is one of the most comprehensive sources I have even seen. So I highly recommend it.
| | Mom loved this book! by M. E. Winston (Ottumwa, IA) 5 Stars September 05, 2008 I bought this book for my mom who recently was put on a low salt diet due to going on warfen. She has found it to be very helpful in planning her meals and was able to use it also for helping plan meals for my father who is diabetic. She can find not only salt amounts, but also fat, sugar, and other information. She calls it her food Bible.
| | feedback by ga belle (ga) 4 Stars May 04, 2008 I like the ease of use of the book for shopping/eating out. However, sure do wish the "regular" grocery stores carried more products.
