A journey with emphasis by Susan H. Kangas (L.A. area USA) 4 Stars
November 03, 2008
This book is a journey of one man's use of conventional medicine and various medical equipment and devices that is very helpful for anyone on such a journey. He has one comic wheelchair story that still has me laughing months after having read it. This book is in contrast to the book, Eric is Winning, which is using more alternative approaches. I very much appreciate the brilliance of those with ALS. Also, I appreciate these authors' candid sharing in their experiences. S. Kangas

Powerful, Moving, Uplifting by Thoughtful Reader Lynn (Los Angeles, CA USA) 5 Stars
December 16, 2006
This book is very well written and easy to read, as we go on a journey with the author through his own experiences in life with ALS. It is informative, insightful, and very moving. There is a lot of wisdom and good advice as to what is helpful and what is not for someone dealing with a debilitating disease. And although he is dealing with a progressive disease, the book is uplifting and inspirational. Rather than focusing on what he can no longer do, he focuses on what he can do, and he still lives life as fully as he can. Definitely worth reading, a must-read for anyone dealing with ALS or who knows someone with ALS.

An inspirational story 5 Stars
