Positive IEP, Drug Free by Happy in Ohio 5 Stars
October 19, 2009
I am so excited! For 6 years, my son has been on medicine for ADHD. After hearing Dr. DeMaria (Dr. Bob) speak on ADHD and natural alternatives, I decided to buy his book and try the program. In one week we noticed changes. My son could sleep better, was calmer, less anxious and seemed less hyper and was able to focus. We continued the program and started the school year drug free. This would be the true test. His anxiety about starting school seemed less. He would come home and get started on homework and stayed focused until it was complete. Weeks into the school year we had our IEP meeting. The teachers were not aware he was not on medicine for his ADHD. The reviews were positive. They noted that he seemed calmer. He had to give an oral report and did very well. They were surprised to hear he was not on medicine, but very supportive of the new direction we were taking. The way I look at it, I needed to try a natural approach. I could always put him back on the medicine, but if I didn't have to what a great change! I also get to enjoy my son's true personality, not one that seemed numbed by the meds he was on. Thank you Dr. Bob!

Saving my family by Happy Mom (Elyria, OH) 5 Stars
September 19, 2009
Applying the principles learned in this book have saved the lives of my children. My boys have multiple medical conditions which are all neurologically based. I must admit, that I did not initially read this book because of the title. While my boys were initially diagnosed during elementary years with ADHD, their diagnosis then evolved during their teenage years; one into Bi-Polar type 1 and my other son into chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. With encouragement from Dr. Bob I read this book and realized the title of this book should really reflect any neurologically based health problem. Dr.Bob's plan seems so simple I wondered how it could compete with the recommendations from their team of specialists at a highly rated pediatric hospital. In about 3 weeks of starting the plan, our lives have been dramatically improved. I see my boys making amazing progress every day, and they are moving toward total wellness. Dr. Bob is a hero to us, and I wish we had followed his plan sooner!

Changed my life! by I. Miller (Rock Tavern, NY) 5 Stars
August 11, 2009
Dr. DeMaria's book totally changed my life. Diagnosed with ADD, I was a totally frustrated person, who couldn't concentrate or get the most simple projects done. After reading his book, I gradually changed my diet, cutting way back on many sweets, pastas, and breads, and adding many more vegetables and fruits. I still eat meat and fish though. But, the most important thing I did, was add Omega-3/Fish Oil. 2000/mg per day, and more if I'm under stress. In about 2-3 weeks, I was getting up at 5am, and working on complex projects without any problem concentrating. In addition, I have enough energy finally, to walk about 1/2 hr a day. In addition, my acid reflux condition, has greatly improved. Thank you Dr. DeMaria!!!

Awesome Information by Lynne M. Gerulski (Gravette, Ar) 5 Stars

This book was more than my husband & I hoped for. It brought our daughter back to us. The last 2 years have been full of disrespect, constant arguing, & incredibly explosive anger for no reason. Our daughter is 17 & was even put in 2 different behavioral teen facilities & spent a week in a juvenile detention unit(for running way from the behavioral facility). She came home on a ankle tether & we ordered the book. We all did the cleanse & are doing the "diet", so she would not feel like an outsider & it was something to do as family. We all feel better & have more energy & are enjoying eating healthy. My husband has some health issues involving pain. His pain level has dropped so much, he has cut the amount of pain medication he was on, by more than half per day. We are cooking together, buying new cook books & surfing the net for more information. Dr Robert DeMaria, you are awesome!

This book is a total lie and ADHD is a confirmed medical condition by monkeyness (northwest) 1 Stars

[...] After reading this book, I have never felt so insulted in my life. I was diagnosed with ADHD 9 months ago and medication turned my life around. ADHD has been confirmed with thousands of FMRI scans to be a chemical condition. This book helps fuel the ignorant fire that says ADHD is something in your head. I can tell you first hand that my ADHD, my mother's, and my sister's was and is not in their heads. By withholding medication from children and adults not taking it, you are all robbing yourselves and your children of the healing and amazement that comes with being able to finally have your mind be able to focus and remember what you are learning. I was diagnosed at 22. I missed out on getting the highest marks in my class for the first years of college, I missed out on remembering what I learned for years. I only wish I had been diagnosed sooner and had started taking medication earlier. People who think ADHD is something "in your head" or can be cured if you just try hard enough are kidding themselves and are ignorant, especially in 18 Days. I am insulted that my condition which caused me so much hurt and underachievement when I was growing up can be brushed off as being cured with diet. It's sad. I hope people become more informed.
