| | 'Solving the Puzzling Problem of Arthritis' is a must. by Apt Alan A. Keane (australia) 5 Stars January 07, 2007 This book was bought for the wife of the purchaser, who writes:
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and this book has been invaluable to me. It is easy for the lay person to read and understand, and covers areas not addressed in other publications. Moreover the authors have suffered with rheumatiod disease themselves, which enables them to address the problems faced from a very personal and realistic perspective. They also provide down to earth hope, not doom and gloom or senseless fantasy. The search for doing something constructive about my disease, instead of taking such lethal drugs as Methotrexate and learning to 'manage my pain',led to the discovery of The New Arthritis Breakthrough' by Dr.MacPherson Brown and Henry Scammel, which any sensible person with RA and associated diseases, should read. Luckily I found a doctor who treats RA (and other such conditions) with the low dose anti-biotic protocol promoted so successfully by Dr MacPherson Brown. Unfortunately, here in Australia, this Protocol is mostly ignored by rheumatologists, so it was with great delight that I found someone who knew what I was talking about and was willing to give me the treatment I felt sure was going to give me back a life. I improved from nearly being a complete invalid requiring help to dress etc.(not to forget being in constant pain) to being able to look after my grandson! My doctor encouraged me to comtinue searching for other intelligent books on the disease and treatment, so I searched the selection in Amazon's list and found 'Rheumatoid Arthritis, the Infection Connection' by Katherine M Poehlmann, which further confirmed that such diseases are often infection based and can be alleviated by the anti-biotic protocol, with no side effects or distortions. Then my husband found 'Solving the Puzzling Problem of Arthritis' by Pat Ganger and Carol Lange. I applaud those women for their persistence and fortitude in both researching so deeply, and in confronting the medical profession with their results. Having read this book with joy I took it to my doctor, who also found it medically informed, well documented and exceedingly useful, with some more recent discoveries included. I had had a bad fall which had put me back and reactivated the disease a little. After some eight months pain free I seemed to have hit a brick wall. This book discussed the anti-biotic Azithromycin, which can be used in such situations. My doctor administered a boost with both oral (Zithromax)and IV and the results have been most efficacious. Once again I am almost pain free and living a real life. I cannot thank the authors enough. Anyone with a rheumatoid disease should not only have this excellent, truthful book in their own library but make their doctors read it. Thank you.
