| Lap Band Companion by Julie Popplewell (Bakersfield, CA) 4 Stars August 07, 2009 I found this book to be very in-depth and educating. It is a must read for anyone having this surgery.
| | Very informative guide... by J. Kinzie (VA) 3 Stars July 10, 2009 This book was very informative... actually, a little too much information for my taste (some of it was just down right gross)...I get why they want you to be well-informed, but dang! And a month long liquid diet surgery? NO thank you!
I think I'm gonna stick to losing weight the old fashion way.
Hats off to those of you who choose this method of weight loss! It sounds just awful to me.
| | lap band book by D. Kauble (Kokomo, IN USA) 5 Stars April 20, 2009 This is another good book to have around for those questions you might have about your band. Handy to have and easy to read.
| | Excellent handbook for new and longtime bandsters! by Banded in 2003 (Canada) 4 Stars October 25, 2008 I'm a 47-year-old male who's been banded five years and at goal for four. I enjoyed this book, which is a very good companion to your band "journey". It's written in straightforward English and also offers wonderful medical illustrations that, among other things, show just how the band and port sit in your body. The authors take you step-by-step through the decision to get banded, preparing for surgery, etc. in a very rational and detailed fashion. I found no key points with which I disagreed.
| | Lap-Band Companion by A. E. Cisneros (North Carolina) 5 Stars September 18, 2008 This is a VERY GOOD BOOK with LOTS OF GOOD INFORMATION in it. It is easy to read and understand and answered a lot of questions and made me aware of somethings I didn't even think of. A MUST HAVE for ANYONE even thinking about this type of surgery. I am sharing it with everyone I can.
