Good for novice growers. by Mr. Nice Guy (Cleavand, Ohio) 4 Stars

This is really a hydroponics for dummies guide. To let people know this book is only about hydro growing, nothing on soil growing what so ever. I suggest soil growing at first but eventually you'd like to grow hydroponically because it produces more yield, takes less time and the plants practically grow themselves after you set the initial setup but it just costs a bit more to get rolling, after that though your good. Never heard of Logan Edwards, but its a pretty efficient book, just not the most in depth and detailed. I'm sure if someone just had this title & wanted to grow they could grow and have a fairly nice crop, but to grow the best you can you might want to pick up some other titles as well. Marijuana Horticulture by Jorge Cervantes is a must have for anyone interested in growing, I have not read Greg Green's Grow Bible yet but I heard from trusted reviewer's that it is a must have also. Here on Amazon they do a buy all three books type thing, that would be a good idea, plus those three titles are all you need to get going, then experience comes with time and word of mouth from other experienced growers. A Fantastic Book by E. L. Shepherd (Sanford, FL) 5 Stars

I normally don't write a review for "these types" of books for obvious reasons. But having said that, if you were to read only one book on the subject, this would be it. There are a few books that would be considered more specialized and go into more detail about individual subjects, but this one covers it all in enough detail that again, if you only read one book on the subject, this one is it. I think it was absolutely fantastic and I literally read every page.

You Only Need Two Books, This is One of Them by Roger McShane 5 Stars

I bought five books when I was thinking about growing and this book was by far the easiest to get into and understand what I was getting myself into. Its really like a "Dummies" book that patiently explains how the plant grows, the difference between male and female, difference between Indica and Sativa, which is all great fundamental information. Then is explains all the equipment you'll need to buy for a small or medium grow and then the majority of the book is dedicated to the phases of growth. Two huge sections of photos and lots of simple illustrations throughout. The other book that I'm glad I bought is Marijuana Horticulture: The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible. It was not a particularly useful guide in learning how to grow, but it's the best reference book/resource by a long stretch. I'm not sure I could have made as much sense out of it without the Grow Great Marijuana book, but it has a lot of valuable information that I constantly refer to when I feel like I don't know what I'm doing. Both books are highly recommended, especially if you are just starting out or just thinking about getting into growing.

Great for newbies by M. Miller (WA, USA) 5 Stars

This is a well written, easy to understand book for someone with little/no experience growing weed. Even if you've never grown before I think that by following the instruction here you would successfull. After you get a couple grows under your belt then there are other books that have some more advanced techniques.

Growing for Dummies by Hota (Newport News, Virginia United States) 5 Stars

I admit I am not the best on picking up tips from how to books. Then again most how to books are dry and well...boring. But this book holds me by the hand, explains in great detail and has me walking away feeling educated on a good grow. I know have an understanding of how this merry plant grows and a good reference for future growing issues.
