CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 2 reviews)
| Advice seemed to work by Brent A. Thale (San Francisco, CA USA) 4 Stars September 12, 2009 I followed this book's advice before a recent nine-timezone-change trip to Germany and it seemed to work well. The program is very simple and easy to follow, although significantly altering caffeine intake may be difficult for some people. I felt fine on my five day trip, jet lag wasn't an issue. I decided not to follow the steps for the return trip and I did feel jet lag when I got home, so there may be something to it. I can't say for sure, though, how much of jet lag is physical or psychological.
If the publisher is reading this, I believe there is an error on page 87 in the Eastbound 9-10 timezone step #3: where it says HIGH-PROTEIN dinner, I believe it should say HIGH-CARB dinner, since high-carb dinners are one of the major points made throughout the rest of the book and in every other timezone step.
| | The Only Legitimate Cure for Jet Lag by Lynne W. Scanlon "The Publishing Contrarian" (New York, NY) 5 Stars February 18, 2009 The Cure for Jet Lag is the rewritten, reformatted and updated version of the outdated, international best-seller, Overcoming Jet Lag, that sold hundreds of thousands of copies when first published. Dr. Ehret was the world's leading chronobiologist. Very famous among his colleagues and the airline industry, particularly, pilots. He devoted 30 years of his life to studying man's daily or circadian rhythms. His discoveries led to government-sponsored research into a natural cure for jet lag. The U.S. Army Rapid Deployment Forces use his methodology, as do US Olympic athletes and international executives who have known about the book for years.
In a nutshell: you do not have to suffer from jet lag. There are simple steps you can take to completely eliminate all jet lag symptoms on flights that involve up to 4 time zone changes (NY-LA)and dramatically reduce symptoms on flights that involve up to 12 time zone changes (US-Japan). Yes, you'll have a little jet lag on those super-long flights, but it will be minimal, and you'll be feeling just fine within three days.
Matador Goods, the huge Internet travel site, just recommended the book.
