CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 27 reviews)
| A priceless resource by Genevieve Wagner 5 Stars September 26, 2009 I bought my first copy of Medications and Mothers' Milk before my son was born in 2005. It went with me to every doctor's appointment, when I had surgery, and I kept it by the computer for when other nursing friends had questions about prescribed medications. Easy to locate medications by their brand or generic names in the index. LOTS of information (from pregnancy safety rating, breastfeeding safety rating, common side effects in mom and baby, alternatives for some of the more risk-laden medications - even a chart for radiocontrast agents and common cold/allergy medications). When the new edition came out in 2008 - and I had another nursling - there was no question in my mind about purchasing the updated book.
If the price is what's stopping you, think of all the research and study that goes into the preparation of this book. As I said, it goes with me to every appointment - I've even had doctors ask for the ISBN and ordering information to get copies for their own clinics. Great for you and baby, and great for all the other mom/baby pairs they'll treat as well. It's a nursing mama's must-have.

| | A must have for all breastfeeding mothers! by Ronnie Gutierrez (san francisco,ca) 5 Stars May 28, 2009 This book was recommended to me by La leche and I am so happy that I bought it. I was having an anxiety attack over the meds I was taking and breastfeeding my newborn at the same time. It provided me with so much info and piece of mind.
