Product Description
Following the huge success of previous editions, Electrophysiological Testing 4th edition is the must have resource for students, residents, cardiology fellows, primary care physicians, cardiologists, nurses, and technicians because it:clarifies the role of electrophysiology in the evaluation of cardiac arrhythmias discusses advances in therapeutic electrophysiology keeping you completely up to date provides clear summaries of complex topics is written in a user-friendly and understandable writing style to make the information easy to digest and recall includes an entirely new chapter on the key field of Cardiac Resynchronisation Reviews of previous edition:“Many times I have found that EP literature is very tied to research results and bogs down the primary topic and makes it difficult to understand. This book explains EP in plain English! I think it is in a class by itself." EP Technician, Galichia Heart Hospital, Wichita, KS, USA"It gives a good understanding of EP without getting too technical and complex in the explanations. It accomplishes a major task of “demystifying” the field of EP. It not only addresses the needs of non technical EP Personnel, but also provides a precise overview of EP for general review.” Cardiac NP, St. Jude's Medical Center

This fourth edition keeps us up to date wtih EP testing in a form that all can appreciate. He's edited throughout and added. Still a basic text for understanding EP.

Superb coverage of things electrophysiologic! by Michael Willers (Northampton, Massachusetts) 5 Stars
January 04, 2008
As a pediatric cardiology fellow, I found this compact text invaluable. Dr. Fogoros writes in a manner that is easily understandable without being pedantic, straightforward without dismissing important details. His explanations of the anatomic substrates of arrhythmias, of the pharmacology of the conduction system, and of the routines used in the EP lab are fantastic. These are things that are typically quite elusive for the aspiring cardiologist, but after reading his text it was as if someone had turned on a light in a dark room. I only wish he had written more about pacemakers, but overall the amount of practical and helpful information and insight packed into this book is amazing.

Refresh EPS by John E. Coatsworth (Gold Coast, Australia) 5 Stars

I have found the book an invaluable refresher after all the years I have done electrophysiology studies. The book presents a straight forward guide for the beginner and the veteran to familiarise with current applications.

Like Clift's Notes in Shakespeare class by Rob Mitchell 4 Stars
September 09, 2007
For an electrophysiologist in training this is like "Clift's Notes" in Shakespeare class; everyone has it, everyone has read it, but nobody admits to it! For any cardiology fellow interested in EP fellowship, or who wants to get the most out of an EP rotation, buy this book and read it over the weekend. THEN buy Zipes or Josephson and quote from one of them. I recommend this as a starting point for those interested in EP fellowship, or as a good overview for those who are affiliated with EP and want a better understanding. I only give it 4 of 5 stars, because the author occasionally gets opinionated, but at least his humor is refreshing.

Handbook of Cardiac EP by Murgatroyd by Breck Marsh (Carrollton, TX United States) 5 Stars
February 12, 2003
By far the best EP book written in my opionion. If you're a layperson to EP and trying to get a handle on what the EP is doing and how we all fit into the puzzle, this is the book for you. Great illustrations, tracings, and easy explanations adjacent to the pictures for better learning.
