CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 3.0 based on 6 reviews)
| Nice Cover by Darryn O'Brien 1 Stars April 06, 2009 Not what I had expected.
Never judge a book by its cover.
Spelling and gramma errors.
Of little use.
| | MRI guide for techs by Lauren Cambridge 2 Stars November 01, 2008 I am a new MRI tech, learning from scratch and I have spent most of my practical hours without a senior tech to train me. I have found better MRI books to learn from than this one. The layout is all over the place and there are a lot of spelling and I believe translation errors/quirks to this book. Given the price i guess I got what I paid for.
| | Not the greatest for the beginning MRI tech by Timothy Spainhour (Atlanta, GA) 3 Stars October 24, 2008 I have just graduated x-ray tech school and am employed as an MRI tech (on the job training) at a hospital. This book gave me very little help in the physics of MRI. By now, I know *how to do* MRI, but I am still strugling with *why I am doing* what I am doing. This book did not help at all in that respect. I am sure it has its place, but generally not the easiest to understand book in the world.
| | Interesting by Ignatios Spinelis (Greece) 4 Stars October 30, 2007 I purchased this book judging from the reviews i read about it.It is a very interesting book and really helpful. It makes you understand in a simple way the basic procedure in order to build a protocol.
| | MRI Guide For Technologists:A Step By Step Approach by eydith (New York City) 5 Stars February 15, 2007 I think this is the perfect reference for the technolgist learning MRI. I have taken Mootoo's class, which was excellent. Along with what I learned in class, I make sure I have his book with me during my clinical experience. He has all the positioning, the various coils, and pulse sequences needed for all the different MRI exams....His book is a must for the new MRI technologist.

| Handbook of MRI Technique by Catherine Westbrook (Author)
The progress of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as a clinical tool has been extraordinary, out-stripping the rate of development of any other imaging technique. There has been a huge increase in the practical applications of MRI techniques and its uses look likely to extend even further with the development of high speed gradients and pulse sequences.
The Handbook of MRI Technique has proved highly successful in guiding the uninitiated through scanning techniques and helping more...

| MRI Parameters and Positioning by Torsten Moeller (Author), Emil Reif (Author)
An indispensable companion in the MR suite! Magnetic resonance imaging is a modality that is carried out under highly standardized conditions. Without knowledge of proper patient positioning and setting of parameters on the MR scanner, the quality of resultant images cannot be optimized. This book provides in easy-to-use form the general principles of patient positing in MR imaging, and the appropriate scanning parameters, as used most commonly in hospital departments and practice....
