| Impressive but could be better by Real217 (saugus ma USA) 4 Stars November 03, 2009 Well detailed and well written, but drawbacks abound, in its quest to cover as much information as possible, it almost derails into acting like an encyclopedia, in order to prepare for any board test, without sifting of information, the reader is bound to waste a lot of valuable time reading through this compendium of pathology. It is difficult to read but still a worthwile addition to any personal library. It's good for use as a reference for practicing professionals but as a study book for board tests? i seriously doubt it, but i found it is helping me more than most books out there to prepare for my own test, since i know exactly what information i intend to obtain from it, the review book wasnt exactly an impressive addition to it, so i decided to use several books to prepare for my test.
| | Excellent addition to your reference library by An avid fan 5 Stars March 27, 2009 I refer to this text quite often during my graduate studies. Henry's picks up where other lab manuals fail, with detailed explanations of the test in addition to a basic review of the condition it relates to. It's worth the purchase if you are tired of not being able to find information regarding certain diagnostic tests.
| | Good comprehensive CP text by K. C. Shaw 4 Stars February 16, 2008 "Henry's," as it's generally known, is an excellent all around text for clinical pathology and an ideal starting point particularly at the resident level. But its greatest strength is also its greatest weakness -- it covers essentially every component of clinical pathology, but by nature this means not every last detail can be included. Still, it does a very admirable job of consolidating so much information. As a resident, if you can buy only one CP book then I heartily recommend starting with Henry's; it contains more board level material on more CP specialties than I've found anywhere. It can also come in handy for attending pathologists, particularly those finding themselves covering a lab they may not be as familiar with.
| | GOOD but lacks some features by A. Hicks 4 Stars February 19, 2007 This book has plenty of information about laboratory etc.. but what I didn't like is that lacks an online edition like most books.. also the information is not easy to find the back index sucks i doesn't display all the information that the book covers.. SO you need to find it through all the chapters.. But well.. i will recomend it
