This book is excellent. I found it very informative and designed according to the level of understanding for nursing student and not intended just only to those who are professional in Nursing. Its worth buying especially for a beginner.

I am a BSN nursing student and this second edition of Gutierrez is awesome. Even better than the first. Although the writing style is still a little dry, the text is logically arranged and punctuated by case studies and meaningful tables. The pathophysiology included in the chapters helps me to understand not only the disease process but the reasons certain drugs are used. I thought the title might be a problem but my instructors says it makes no difference what the title is because the book contains information for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Keep up the good work Gutierrez. My classmates are looking forward to the next edition.
