EDITORIAL REVIEWS

Product Description
In one of the most unique memoirs of addiction ever published, Mötley Crüe's Nikki Sixx shares mesmerizing diary entries from the year he spiraled out of control in a haze of heroin and cocaine, presented alongside riveting commentary from people who were there at the time, and from Nikki himself. When Mötley Crüe was at the height of its fame, there wasn't any drug Nikki Sixx wouldn't do. He spent days -- sometimes alone, sometimes with other addicts, friends, and lovers -- in a coke and heroin-fueled daze. The highs were high, and Nikki's journal entries reveal some euphoria and joy. But the lows were lower, often ending with Nikki in his closet, surrounded by drug paraphernalia and wrapped in paranoid delusions. Here, Nikki shares those diary entries -- some poetic, some scatterbrained, some bizarre -- and reflects on that time. Joining him are Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Slash, Rick Nielsen, Bob Rock, and a host of ex-managers, ex-lovers, and more.Brutally honest, utterly riveting, and shockingly moving, The Heroin Diaries follows Nikki during the year he plunged to rock bottom -- and his courageous decision to pick himself up and start living again.

Most of us are not famous and most of us don't have Nikki's Bank account.... this here is a tale of drug addiction to the extreme, money is no object so the junk never runs out, any person who has done hard drugs will find it easy to relate to Nikki Six in this book. This is truly is a must read for any person who wants an inside look at the horrors of Heroin addiction.

This appears to be a true story about the addiction of Nikki Sixx. It is sad and and a very active review of that addiction, yet he pulled himself through it to share with others. It is hard reading to know that a person is drowning in their own addiction and wants help but cannot pull them selves to that help until they are ready. This is a good read for anyone that has an addiciton problem or a family member with this horrible disease.

What a trip! Going inside Nikki's mind for that short bit was a wild ride. It even kind of scared me because I recognized some of his traits, yet I have never done any of the harder drugs, nor will I even try them now seeing how a similar personality to mine could go for such a ride. I hope that by putting his life out there and making it public, people will see the absolute dark and evil side of narcotics. Congrats Nikki on surviving those times and thanks for sharing these stories with today's youth.

I am Tommy Lee, born Thomas Lee Bass in Athens, Greece, on October 3, 1962, and raised in a suburb of California by an American father and a Greek mother. At seventeen, I joined Mötley Crüe and we became one of the baddest-ass rock bands in history. We sold over 40 million albums, we wreaked havoc, we scared parents, and we titillated too many fathers' daughters. I've been married three times: once for just a few days to a Penthouse Pet, for seven years to Heather Locklear, and then for five...

For the first time ever, Slash tells the tale that has yet to be told from the inside: how the legendary band Guns N' Roses came together, how they wrote the music that defined an era, how they survived insane, never-ending tours, how they survived themselves, and, ultimately, how it all fell apart. Slash is a window into the world of the notoriously private guitarist and...
