Mother of child with DFI Great book by DEBBIE (PARAMUS, NJ) 4 Stars

I found this more helpful than any of the three nutritionist I have been to for information on. Granted the author could not say everything sufferers need to know but it is nice that someone took the time to try and help others out with their experience. There is so little known about this ailment and how to treat it and not much in the medical community to go by. I am happy for information I can get my hands on. IN addition to this book I suggest you do research yourself on line . Start looking into major university research on this subject. Sadly this is one disease that we have to help ourselves with.

Fructose/Lactose Intolerant, Celiac. by E. Bertolotti 4 Stars

I would like to say the book is written well as an account of one person's experience with fructose intolerance. And it is certainly valuable to hear other's experiences. However, I did expect more information on treatment, diet, etc. I do not think I could consider this a self-help book, which is unfortunate given the lack of information on this disorder elsewhere. Advice given on diet was conflicted in the suggested recipes, but the emotional aspect of feeling alone and sharing one's journey through the healthcare system was invaluable. I would reccomend this book for those who feel alone in their experience, and those who have also experienced challenges through the medical system in relation to finding a diagnosis. I would not reccomend this book to those who are looking for dietary advice, as the internet seems to have more to offer (as little as there is). All in all, it is a pleasent quick read. The book was much shorter than I expected, and can be read easily in one sitting. Kudos to the author for sharing her experiences!

Living with dietary fructose intolerance by M. Dolson (Grants Pass, OR) 5 Stars

This book is written by someone that suffers from the disease about which she writes. She demonstrates incredible knowledge of all the steps, twists and turns this disease takes as it renders the sufferer immobile. She gives practical and useful advice and includes many tested and approved recipies. I would recommend this book for anyone suffering from this disease or anyone that is living with someone that has this disease. This is written so it is an easy read for the lay person while providing explanations for the clinician.

Informative, helpful, judy smith writes about her personal experience with fructose intolerance too. The recipes are good and the ingrediants are pretty inexpensive.
