| Good Reference Book by Kathryn A. Jenkel (Carbondale, IL USA) 5 Stars March 24, 2006 Ellen Stahl's book offers a good reference for people who are living with a chronic illness. This book offers pointers on researching your illness, managing your medical records, working with your insurance company, available support groups, exercise and diet, complementary therapies, lifestyle adjustments and keeping a positive attitude. These are just some of the topics covered in Mrs. Stahl's book. The book was very easy to read. It was not filled with medical jargon that only a medical doctor could understand. The print size in the book seemed larger too. I am thankful that Mrs. Stahl's took the time to share her story!
| | Practical advice and strategies by Book Omnivore 5 Stars April 27, 2005 The author offers courage, practical advice and strategies for those facing a debilitating, life-threatening disease. Her step-by-step instructions for making your own medical notebook alone is worth the price of the volume and useful for anyone - whatever their health status. Loved the complementary exercises and meditations. Peace and healing are not always about our physical state. I recommend this volume for this author's courage, wit, and wisdom.
