We live overseas, military, and I can't complete the dishes. When we get back to the states I really want to try some.

I have made several recipes from the cookbook, and they have all turned out stellar. I am a newish cook, so I have picked some of the easier recipes to start with until my confidence builds (I used to decide what was for dinner by seeing what cooked the fastest in the microwave). Like some previous reviews of this book, some of the ingredients can be difficult to find, but I have found substitutes via online searching (then buying at the local supermarket) or making an educated guess with little impact on the dish, from what I can tell. I like how most of the recipes limit the use of measuring cups/spoons and call for whole items and fresh herbs/spices (e.g. 1 onion, 1 bag, a few sprigs, etc.) so prepping is relatively easy and you don't have to measure out multiple spices, herbs, liquids. The tips and pointers in the beginning and through-out the book are helpful as well. This book has saved us money compared to eating out and the food tastes a whole lot better (and is healthier) than what my microwave can churn out. As soon as I master this book, I will move on to "Gordon Ramsay Makes it Easy".

This book makes it clear that there is no excuse for failing to prepare fast, fresh and delicious dinners at home. by Michelle Long (Boise, ID) 5 Stars

I recently bought this book after having prepared recipes from Gordon Ramsay that I had tracked down online. First, the book is gorgeous. The photos alone inspired me to drop what I was doing (the day the book arrived in the mail), choose a recipe (Beet, goat cheese and apple salad- it turned out divine) and go straight to the store to pick up the necessary ingredients. All of the directions are clear and concise and the recipes are fairly uncomplicated lists of ingredients that combine to create dishes of tantalizing flavors and textures. I'm making dinner using it again tonight!

If you buy one Gordon Ramsay cookbook... by J. Dyer (Salt Lake City, UT USA) 4 Stars

This is my favorite cookbook from Gordon Ramsay. It's very heavy on fish dishes and it for sure has a British feel to the food and some ingredients aren't typically American fare, but the dishes are simple to make and turn out well. The desserts are usually simple things that can be put together in 10 minutes but never fail to impress guests with how flashy they look and how great they taste. It's very much like the simple dishes he makes on the F Word.

An EPIC 30 minute meal book. by Timothy Harris (Las Vegas, NV) 5 Stars

This is the 2nd book I purchased of Gordon Ramsey's and is the predecessor of "Healthy Appetite". It is just so well written, the food information and his personal approach about food and the level in which he approaches it is the best of the best. Still easy to cook and I do about 90% of the "Chef Cooking" as my older teen kids call it. I have found an amazing passion about food that I thought never existed in me, I have watched countless Food Network shows with my wife... Mr. Ramsey shows up and I am off cooking and plating from another world! Have trouble getting your kids to eat? So did we... for years! I start "Cooking this food at home" as he says and Their plates are clean, no seriously! They call me up in the middle of the and ask what is for dinner, then take pictures of the food on the plates with their phones and send it to their friends. The experience has been life transforming for sure and I am completely enjoying this book!
