EDITORIAL REVIEWS

Product Description
Previously available only through free distribution to prisons, this life-changing book is the result of charitable donations from sales of Chicken Soup for the Christian Family Soul and gifts from thousands of individuals. In the spring of 2000, over 100,000 copies of Chicken Soup for the Prisoner's Soul were distributed to prisoners, prison libraries and prison ministries throughout the United States. The hope was that this collection of stories would touch the hearts of prisoners and offer them hope and encouragement, as well as inspire them to transcend the limiting thinking and behaviors of their past. The book was so successful that the co-authors soon found themselves flooded with requests for the book from family members, correctional officers, prison volunteers and others. Because of this huge demand, the decision was made to also release the book to the general public.

This book is a great resource for prisoners who need inspiration. I go into prisons on a weekly basis and visit inmates and have met quite a few who have found inspiration in this book.

This was a replacement order for a book we have about worn out. As volunteers at the California Men's Prison, we have shared stories with the inmates regularly. This is a great look at life through the eyes of some of our forgotten men. We highly recommend it.

My brother is in Federal prison and reads this book every night. He said it makes him cry himself to sleep but not in a sad way. The book gives him hope and that is what brings the tears.

Buy it, send it. by Enoughgrace (Tennessee River) 4 Stars

We have more men and women in prison in the US than the entire country of Nigeria. I would recommend this particular book over any other to send to anyone you might know or care about in prison. It is a constant source of comfort and hope for these hidden souls.
