I read this book wondering what is an indigo. Little did I know I was Indigo. I disagree with Doreen Virtue in one way only, I believe some Indigos came earlier than 1978. Your age does not determine this aura quality. Your soul, essence or being does. The practical guidance offered for care did help my indigo clients/children/adolescents/adults. I used the information for a lecture I did. I am a licensed clinical psychologist. The book defines what Indigo means and characteristics to look for. It was a great way to let the public know about this issue/population. I will also say some Indigos have ADD, some do not like anyone else. I agree with trying alternative methods before giving medication. However, sometimes medications are the answer.
