| Complete and Informative by Maren Amdal (Bellingham, Wa USA) 4 Stars October 25, 2000 As a singer, student and teacher, I find this book to be most helpful in understanding basic pedagogy, as well as understang some of the common and some un-common ailments of the vocalis. This book discusses endocrine dysfunction, neurological disorders, phsycological issues and myriad other issues as they relate to singing. A consise but more than adequet chapter on historical pedagogy precedes two chapters on vocal and choral pedagogy, respectively. Two good appendices follow a complete glossary. Well worth reading. Note that it is a TEXT book, written by a doctor, and for a newer vocal student, it may not be the best book.
