| Fantatic read for those suffering with PCOS by D. Tuszke (Stevens Point, WI) 5 Stars September 20, 2009 I was diagnosed with PCOS in 1999, before any valuable information about the condition was available. Thanks to The Ultimate PCOS Handbook, I was able to learn about PCOS and its symptoms and discovered many ways to manage the condition and reduce the symptoms or rid my body of them entirely.
It's hard to hear that weight loss is often the best solution to the problem, but now that I realize how important it is, I'm willing to focus on that goal and make the changes necessary.
I've often felt alone when dealing with PCOS, but this book helped me to realize thousands of other women have experienced and continue to deal with condition as well.
| | Easy reader by C. Picciano (va) 4 Stars September 13, 2009 I have yet to finish reading the book but it is an easy read, informative and interesting.
| | Not a good source for information by L. Rodriguez (Texas) 1 Stars May 05, 2009 I didnt like the way the book was written. There were alot of misspelled words. I dont think this book is the best way to get more information about pcos. Go with another book!
| | thumb down by Michael K. Beres (INDIANA) 1 Stars December 05, 2008 Don't waste your money on this book. My daughter has PCOS and I bought it to understand this condition. Just a bunch of simple observations/recomendations such as lose weight, stop smoking, eat more fruit & veggies. Give me a break. I really learned nothing new here & I did not know much b/4 I read it.
| | very good source by K. Wildermuth (Brockport, NY) 4 Stars October 10, 2008 very much enjoyed the book. great to just pick up and reference, don't have to sit and read chapters at a time. it helped me put together a lot of pieces that i wasn't able to find in the research i did. the only thing that isnt up to date is the medication treatment, because that is constantly changing, but the exercise tips and overall understanding are great.
