| Every woman should read this! by Allison Mayle 5 Stars November 10, 2009 This book gives personal insight into how women defeat themselves. It really begins to draw your attention to the ways you think and feel. I think it is a good book to keep around, and probably re-read once a month. At times during reading it I almost bought one for every women I know. It isn't a miracle worker, but it brings your attention and awareness to self-defeating behavior. Every woman should read this!
| | A interesting way to look at success! by Felicity Barrington (The Wet Coast) 5 Stars September 03, 2009 Like many people who are on the quest for success, I've read a lot of personal development books, listen to tapes, and watched `The Secret'. But, I have to say, I never looked at the concept that it may be different success rules for women as for men. If we can all achieve, and success comes from principles I did not think they could be different principles for the two sexes. However, after reading Sue's book, I can see there is strong merit for her view. I did learn a lot, not that the success principles are different, but there application can be understood differently by men and women and therefore achieving your potential and understanding more about the Law of Attraction is possible if you need or want to look at it this way, and if so, that is great, whatever gets the job done! It's sensible and factual. No feminist propaganda, just usable information and instruction. I'm very glad to have stumbled onto this book. These principles will help shape your belief system to ensure future success. Bottom line, the success principles are all the same, and the author has found a way for we women to look at them through our own eyes and experiences, and therefore access these success principles better then a generic or male view.
I still find that some core success principles are necessary, like Wattles' The Science of Getting Rich, (by the way, you MUST watch this in the DVD form - so much more inpackful then the book)
The Science of Getting Rich: The Movie - 2 Disk Set
On the subject of looking at success through male or female eyes, I was searching and searching for something for younger readers, to get teens on the right track, and I found these Alger books, now I will 100% recommend them for teens, BUT, to be 100% honest with you - I read them and fell in love with them - while they are just stories they fill you with such inspiration and drive that its like the strength of 100 Tony Robins seminars, (or you pick your favorite speaker), simple put, if each of us read one of these books, I think America and the world would be a much better place. Here are a few:
Slow and Sure: The Story of Paul Hoffman the Young Street-Merchant
From Farm to Fortune: Nat Nason's Strange Experience
Driven from Home: Carl Crawford's Experience
Adrift in New York: Tom and Florence Braving the World
Cast Upon the Breakers: A Classic Rags to Riches Story!
Thanks for listening!
| | EXCELLENT BOOK by pat w. (Baltimore) 5 Stars March 04, 2009 This is a really good book to help women become more empowered. I read it years ago and loved it. I am a therapist working mostly with women and I have recommended it frequently over the years. I lent my copy out years ago and didn't get it back so I just wanted to own it again. It's an easy read but packed with wisdom.
