After studying the techniques in Rethinking Acrylic and Acrylic Revolution, this book with its emphasis on visual examples is like a gallery of ideas page after page. It's inspirational just to see the myriad of different uses of the mediums and paints. In spite it's focus on images, the author manages to get in a number of very useful tips and hints. I loved it.

I hesitated a lot to buy Chris Cozen's books because of some comments I had read. Yes, this book IS small (more like a large pamphlet). Yes, it is geared towards using Golden products - what else would a Golden working artist suggest? It does not take much of a leap to realize that one can use other companies acrylic mediums to more than likely achieve a nearly the same (or the same) results. I loved this little book. It answered all of the questions I had about the various uses of different mediums and paints. Succinct. To the point. Well done and worth the cost!

I have been fortunate in that I have taken several classes with Chris Cozen. I am a fine artist who works primarily in oils and pastels. I loved this book! Her step by step instructions were easy to follow and fun to try. I keep this book close at hand so when I need a different effect I have all the inspiration I need.
