CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 15 reviews)
| Super book by MDmommy (Columbia, MD) 5 Stars September 13, 2009 My son recently got into the habit of hitting other kids during play groups so I was frantically trying to find books that reinforced the fact that it isn't nice/kind to hit other kids. My 2.5 year old son loves this book and hasn't hit another child since reading this book on a regular basis. Great reinforcement of good manners/good habits.
| | Good instructional book by M. Hancock (New Jersey) 4 Stars September 04, 2009 This book is good for reading to your child when he/she starts to hit. I bought it for that reason and started reading it to my son whenever he would hit one of us. It seemed to work because he's not hitting anymore. However, I wish it would have said "Hands are not for hitting, they're for..." on every page instead of just some pages.
| | No More Hitting!!! by Heidi A. Press 5 Stars June 29, 2009 This book was recommended by a friend for our 2 year old who was hitting. He stopped after the first time we read it!! It was like a lightbulb came on in his head. He needs reminders every once in awhile, we just say, "Hands are not for hitting," and he doesn't hit! Love this book! "Feet Are Not for Kicking," is also wonderful.
| | Love this series! by Mary A. Pimenta (Milford, CT USA) 5 Stars March 29, 2009 This series is very straight forward and wonderful! I highly recommend this series. The text is simple, the illustrations charming, and it offers ideas on what the child can do instead.
| | For Children by Jonathan Perry 5 Stars March 25, 2009 I have a five-year-old. When he was four we got this for him. For obvious reasons.

We can’t expect them to watch every word, but we can help them to understand that their words affect other people. We can gently guide them to choose words that are helpful instead of hurtful, and to say two very important words—"I’m sorry"—when hurtful words come out before they can stop them.Like our earlier board books HANDS ARE...
